ABOUT ME
Don't ever spread yourself too thin. That's one piece of advice I never cared for. I don't want to leave this world as anything less than the proverbial renaissance man. Jokes aside, I let my curiosity and desire to learn new challenging things be my guide, as I try to do my part to create a more sustainable future. This portfolio mainly offers a peek into my (graphic) design work and some other nuggets of my creative output that I am proud of.
During my studies at the Eindhoven University of Technology, I was trained as a multidisciplinary engineer, with sustainability being the defining common thread in my curriculum. During my master's in Sustainable Energy Technology, I specialised in the subject of thermo-fluids engeering. I really thrived on learning all about complex engineering subjects, but I also took the time to nourish my creative side. With quite some design electives here and there and with the two internships that followed, I became acquainted with the world of industrial and graphic design.
During my studies, the concepts of design and engineering were sometimes hard to marry, but in time I realized I have a unique selection of perspectives and skills to offer. I want to work on the intersection of sustainability, technology and design. I like to think that I can offer the technical expertise of an engineer, seen through the sensible lens of a designer.
