For a case study I did with the organisation TKI Urban Energy, I have looked at several innovations that can help households save on their heated tap water, particularly for showering. In well-insulated households, more than 50% of the total heat demand can often be attributed to the heating of tap water. On average, 80% of this heated tap water is used for showering. Cutting your showering time is always an option but there are several smart innovations that make it possible to save even more on heated tap water. In this case study I have compared 4 innovations on the basis of 4 key performance indicators that I deemed relevant in this case.
